Duddingston Golf Course

Duddingston Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 championship course measuring 6,525 yards, established in 1895 as the Insurance & Banking Golf Club. Located at Duddingston Road West in Edinburgh (EH15 3QD), the course sits within the Duke of Abercorn's deer park at the foot of Arthur's Seat, just 10 minutes from Edinburgh city centre. Originally designed by Willie Park Jr. and later updated by James Braid, the course was extended during the 1960s and 1970s by John Shade and Bill Biggar.

The course features the Braid Burn, which comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes, presenting a significant strategic challenge throughout the round. Multiple tee options accommodate different skill levels, with white tees at 6,540 yards, yellow tees at 6,258 yards, and red tees at 5,570 yards. The club has hosted notable events including the 2008 SGU South East District Championship, the 2013 Lothian Matchplay Championship, and the Optical Express Scottish PGA tour events from 2012-2014. The club has won the prestigious Edinburgh League a record nine times.

The recently refurbished clubhouse features a bar, restaurant, and function room with panoramic course views, plus free parking, free Wi-Fi, and contemporary shower facilities. Stuart Wilson operates a fully stocked pro shop offering the latest equipment and indoor simulators including a SW:ING Studio with Foresight GC Quad Launch Monitor and PuttView putting system. Practice facilities include a 9-hole putting green, full-length practice range with mats, a short-game green for pitching and bunker shots, and a hitting net. Standard green fees are £95 per person, with off-peak rates of £55 available after 3pm daily and all day Monday.
